Established in 2020, I have been successfully fulfilling a gap that I found in the cosmetic world. As a woman on the darker end of the melanin scale, I realized quite early that it was an absolute STRUGGLE to find makeup that blended in smoothly and complemented my chocolate toned skin. How is it that the cosmetic realm is so saturated but only a good handful of them can actually be completely used by women of melanin skin tones? Accommodation over Customization. We are surrounded by cosmetic brands that are accommodating to melanin skin vs. being truly customized for melanin skin.

I started my company in 2020 with the goal of creating a brand that is tailored to black women not simply accommodating to them. That meaning - ALL of our pigmented products (i.e foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows etc.) are specifically formulated to complement melanin skin FIRST, no matter what shade you are.
I think it’s about time we took the struggle out of beauty!
